The artist
Aneta Basinska
A multidisciplinary artist distilling the natural world into quiet, luminous abstraction.
Trained as a civil engineer, Aneta brings a structural precision to fluid subjects — architecture, interiors, and above all nature. Born in Poland and now based in Lausanne, Switzerland, she has lived and worked across Ireland, France and Poland; those travels continue to feed a passion for art, architecture and the natural world.
Her language is a synthesis of Impressionism and Aboriginal art, reimagined through a minimalist lens. She begins with photography — botanical forms, forest light — then deconstructs each image into an abstract mental composition, translating it into detailed graphics built from vibrant colour and a Japanese-inspired sense of balance.
While her foundation lies in acrylic and oil on canvas, her current work is made with professional oil and acrylic pens on premium paper, experimenting with surfaces and colour. Reflective metallic accents — gold, silver and brass — let each piece shift and catch the light, evolving with the room around it.
